An infiltration trench provides groundwater recharge volume and water quality volume in one location. However, it requires a very high level of maintenance and is somewhat expensive to construct. This practice is generally well-accepted by the community. An infiltration trench will remove 100% of TSS, and 42% of both TN and TP, although these numbers are based on limited data.
