An extended detention shallow wetland provides channel protection, water quality storage, and overbank flood control. This type of wetland has a medium cost, and a relatively high community acceptance. The ED shallow wetland removes 69% of TSS, 39% of TP, and 56% of TN, although these numbers are based on limited data.
