A micropool ED pond meets the criteria for overbank flood protection and channel protection and potentially for water quality but not groundwater recharge. It has a low construction cost, but is not highly accepted by the community. A micropool ED pond provides roughly 50% TSS removal and 30% removal for TP and TN.
