Some factors a stormwater manager should consider regarding pollutant capture are what treatment volume is appropriate and how that treatment is assessed. Treatment effectiveness can be assessed as the percentage of annual rainfall captured and treated, the percentage of site draining to the treatment practice, the pollutant removal capability of the practice, and the pollutant removal over time.
