Sizing Criteria

Rev (acre-feet) = [(S)(Rv)(A)]/12

where:

Rv= volumetric runoff coefficient = 0.05+0.009 x (I) where I is percent impervious cover
S= soil recharge factor in inches
A= site area in acres

The groundwater recharge volume is calculated using the volumetric runoff coefficient, soil recharge factor, and the site area. Alternatively, the soil recharge factor can be expressed as a fraction of the water quality volume on a site.
